Club Sections

• Academy Hockey

  The  Old Loughtonians Talent Academy teams will play against other Talent Academy teams in league and cup fixtures organised by England Hockey.

  Although players in each Talent Academy will wear the host club kit, the players will not become members of host clubs unless they join independently.  Whilst Old Loughtonians welcomes players of all ages and abilities and from all backgrounds the Club also strongly believes in preserving strength in depth across all the clubs in designated catchment areas.  In conjunction with England Hockey, the Club will wish to ensure that parents and players discuss all aspects of player development with both the Club and the player's home club throughout the player's time at the Talent Academy.  The Club's ethos is that the long term interests of the player must always come first.

   

• Junior Hockey

  The club is known for its strong Youth section..  We have teams for both boys and girls at  U18, U16, U14  (Colts) , U12 and U10 (Mini)  level as well as a mixed  U8s team.   The teams compete in Tier 1 and Tier 2 England Hockey National competitions,  Old Loughts boys and girls sides have been successful as National Champions on a number of occasions recently both in the indoor and outdoor competitions. In 2022 the u18 boys were National indoor champions again.

  Youth members regularly play for Essex at all age groups and a pleasing number of our players compete in the Futures Cup and equivalent each year and represent  England at age group level. Youth players are also eligible to play for the Men's and Ladies teams and our lower league sides provide a smooth transition to the top teams.
