HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Holiday Highlights

While many of the adults were taking a break from playing hockey, over the Christmas period, the junior members of the club were out in force competing in the #indoorhockey19 Championships at the Copper Box Arena.  With teams entered in every age group both boys and girls from under 10s to 18 they competed well in competitive games against some very organised opposition.

The best placed teams were the U16 boys who won silver medals while the U18 boys finished in 4th place.  Barney Tedder won Player of the Tournament for the under 18 boys after pulling off some remarkable saves and Nathan Gladman was voted Player of the Tournament for his age group for his game awareness and composure on and off the ball.

U16 Boys Copper Box 2019

Club Training starts tonight for – Academy, Men’s 1s, 2s and 3s.  Ladies and girls training begins tomorrow and boys and rest of club on Thursday.

Weekend Fixtures

All teams have fixtures this weekend so if you are available please let you captain/manager know.

Reminder: Face Masks

Players should not defend at penalty corners (especially in post man or blocking positions) without face masks. England Hockey reinforces that it is the responsibility of players to provide their own face mask.  Many face masks look alike so make sure you put your name on yours so that in the event it is left behind the goal you can be reunited!

JAFFA SUPER 6S - SUNDAY 2 FEBRUARY 2020

England Hockey is taking the Jaffa Super 6s back to the Copper Box Arena as the indoor finals day comes to the iconic venue once again on Sunday 2 February 2020.

The day sees the country’s best eight indoor teams do battle on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with a number of world class hockey players on show. With support from our partners Jaffa, there will also be plenty of exciting activities off the pitch as well.

This year, ticket prices have been lowered across the board, with children’s tickets from just £5 and adults starting at only £13.50. Groups of 20+ also get a further 20% off the cost of their tickets. Click here to buy yours today!
