Exciting First Day at OL's Summer Camp 2020

The weather cheered up for a fun first day of OL's Summer Camp, attended by more than 40 children, a larger number of coaches than usual , due to the requirements for small groups, lead by Chris Gladman ,focused on Technical skills ,whilst challenged with making sessions , game like and fun. No mean feat when observing social distancing but one of the largest Camps in recent years saw  a lot of smiling and delighted faces , especially the winners of the Prizes , kindly donated by Byte Hockey .

Minutes of AGM 2020

Couldn't get to the first ever Zoom AGM meeting ? - See details of the exciting minutes of our AGM - held by Zoom on 5th July - on our website at the following link.

Peter Kempe has taken over from me as Company Secretary, so, amongst other things, he will be sorting out next year's AGM. This lightens the load for the role of Hon. Secretary to the Management Committee, which is still vacant. Please let the club know if you would like to volunteer.

Jane Blake.

A Treasurer is also needed, a Club Member with a strong financial background to oversee what’s happening with the Club’s money is an important role and it would be to everyone’s benefit if a Member could come forward – please speak to one of the Management Committee about what’s involved . It can be very rewarding to put some time and contribution towards the Club’s success.

Latest on Playing Again

What's the latest on when we may get back to playing again? England Hockey’s plans for how to return to playing ( Step 4) have now been put into government and following the success of the FA’s approved framework last week, which was very close to EH’s framework , a decision is awaited .

If this is signed off this week then things will be very fast moving with return to training/pre season matches and a mid September season start.
