Still in Limbo but some Club info for Hockey Headlines that might interest you

Use of Pitches.

To clarify the position over use of the pitches, we recently had to take a short  break from providing the informal small group usage, simply to give the coaches a break, whilst we also felt that the news about proper training sessions would be available by now!

The Club has to commit to the safety of those using the pitches and to look after the pitches themselves and we hope to have organized training sessions back for you in the not too distant future.

Club Buzz Calendar - Pitch Bookings

If you are a manager or Captain wishing to schedule a pitch booking and wondering about availability, the ClubBuzz Website will be updated as frequently as is possible to allow you to get a view as to pitch availability at a glance, rather than a slow email process.

Bookings can then be confirmed on a first come first served basis but ClubBuzz should be your first port of call . Simply click on the link https://olhc.clubbuzz.co.uk/admin/events ( you will need to log in) and you can see what is scheduled .

Any problems with any areas of ClubBuzz, please take the time to let the office know and make sure it works well for you.

Former Old Loughts Gunner (and 1st XI) Player

Darren Cheesman revealed some fascinating insights into the move from elite player to performance coach in a European Hockey Federation seminar with his colleague Kate Walsh on Monday of this week.

Darren  was part of the Club as a result of the scheme that brought together the Arsenal Community Team with OL’s and operated very successfully for a number of years, he had a very successful playing career and continues now as a High Performance Coach .

For coaches or players interested to hear the seminar and also glean other useful and interesting information it will be available soon at  https://www.coach-logic.com/blog/the-ehf-pause-in-play-webinar-series/
