Have you noticed the Change?

For the regular social media followers of the Club or maybe just eagle- eyed viewers of the website , some of you will have noticed a change to the Old Lought’s Logo in recent weeks .

A celebratory re-design of our logo to a more modern design, includes a nod to the 100 Years that we have clocked up as a Club. Members will continue to see this upgrade adorning our pages and sharing the news to start the celebration of our 100th Season.

Ladies 1’s – Exciting New Signings.

A flurry of activity in the transfer Market has seen a number of new signings to our Ladies First X1 to help Miranda and the Team in their push for successive promotions. Full details and some views from Miranda , our Ladies 1’s Coach on that next week .

Up -Coming Games friendlies against Tower Hamlets

Saturday 29th – We have a number of friendlies at the Club featuring  the Ladies 3s v Bishops Strortford,  the Loppers v Tower Hamlets , Willows 6s V Supervets  and Willows 7s v Waltham Forest

Monday 31st – 6:30 PM  U16’s Quarter Final , After an interminably long lock down for most U16 Year Olds , they are now allowed off the leash to play their quarter finals of the National Competition , this Monday. Please come and support the Team against a strong Cambridge City opposition.

Club Shop Open .

Our Club shop will be opening on Saturday and can be accessed via the one way system starting next to Ladies Changing , past the toilets and back round into the reception area . This is a bit of a circuitous route but is intended to avoid queues building up on the way in.  Please be mindful of social distancing and observe rules over Sanitiser when entering the building.

A Brighter Future

No, not yet more success on the Youth Section’s part but further work on Club Infrastructure now means that those playing at night on Pitch 2 will have no excuses for missing the ball, as we have replaced many  of the lights.

(If you still have trouble seeing the ball, do feel free to contact our Pitch-Side Sponsors , Rose Opticians , who will be glad to arrange an eye test , and possibly lunch for you ).
