Preseason Training Ladies 1’s
Ladies 1s will start preseason training on Wednesday 2nd August and fitness on Monday 7th August. Please make every effort to be there as these sessions are important for the season ahead.
A friendly game has been arranged for Monday 4th September against Wapping.
AGM Minutes and Final Accounts
A copy of the AGM minutes and the final accounts will be circulated to all members by the end of this week. Copies will also be available on the website.
All New BBC One Game Show Presented By Len Goodman Opportunity
The BBC is currently working on a brand new Saturday night game show called Partners in Rhyme. It will be presented by Len Goodman on BBC One and will give contestants the chance to win a holiday.
They are looking to hear from fun and outgoing people who might be interested in taking part in the show, which is scheduled to be filmed in early August. Applications are closing on 28th July, so please get in touch soon! In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to give Alice a call on 0141 440 6485. EHUA Annual Subscription
By now you would have received a notice from Essex Hockey Umpiring Association asking you to pay your annual subscription. As in previous years if you are willing and able to umpire for OLHC for the 2017/18 season the club will pay this for you.
If you can let the me or the new club ULO – Ian Padfield – (ian@wealdhallfarm.com Tel. no. 7785 550073) know your intentions we can make the necessary arrangements.
If you are new to the Club or to the area and you are a qualified Level 1 umpire please let us know as you must be a member of a county umpiring association to umpire league games in Essex. This membership also provides you with the necessary insurance cover.
Please contact either myself or Ian by 31st August to ensure you are part of the club umpiring team!
