Round One
A reminder that Round One fixtures begin this weekend for all ladies teams and for the majority of the men’s sides. Men’s Willows have another two weeks until their opening match on the 7th of October. The men’s 2nd and 3rd XI’s played their round one league games on Saturday, winning 5-1 and going down 5-0 respectively. Good luck to all teams this weekend!
Start of the Season Barbeque
To celebrate the beginning of the season ahead, there will be a barbeque at the clubhouse on Saturday the 30th of September starting at 17:00. Our men’s 1st XI play their first home league game at this time, so it would be great to see as many people as possible at the club supporting, enjoying the food and company.
EVO Hockey Camp
The club is hosting a 3 day EVO Hockey Camp during the half-term school break from Monday 23rd – Wednesday 25th October. The camp caters for boys and girls aged 6-17 of all abilities and is run by a number of international players and specialist coaches. The cost is £160 for all 3 days, £110 for two days and £60 for one day. To book a place please visit:

2017 Active Essex Sports Awards
The Active Essex Sports Awards is an annual event that celebrates, recognises and applauds the efforts and outstanding achievements of various sporting organisations and individuals. There are eleven award categories up for grabs and the online nomination process is now open and closes on 20th October. To find the nomination form and to see the list of awards, visit the Active Essex Sports Awards page. It would be great to see our club and our members nominated and hopefully recognised with a number of awards. If you can think of anyone at the club who meets the criteria of any of the listed awards, please take a few minutes to nominate them!
2018 Hockey Women’s World Cup
London is hosting the Hockey Women’s World Cup in July-August next year. England Hockey has opened nominations for people willing to volunteer at the tournament. If you would like to contribute your time and skills to be a part of the World Cup, please visit this page and fill out the online form.
