End of season celebration 2019

Join together to celebrate the season and our fantastic hockey club at the End of Season Ball on Saturday 27 April.

Tickets are £45 including welcome drink, 3 course meal and entertainment - as well as awards for the season and more!  Get yours now as it is first come first served and spaces are limited.

Club Shirt Swap

Saturday will be the last chance to do shirt swap in the shop. After this weekend we will not be able to accept them anymore.

 

GK Coaching

A John Hurst coaching session is being held on April 3rd 7-00 till 9-00 pm at Letchworth Hockey Club. If you are between 11 to 16 and interested, it is a mere £20 contact John Wright email (jtw7010@gmail.com)

First Aid Training

Loughton Cricket Club are running two Emergency First Aid training courses on the 6th and 20th March 6:30pm – 9:30pm.  The cost is £15 per participant.  For more information contact Cliff Greenhill cliff.greenhill@btinternet.com

England Hockey Award Nominations now open

Saturday 11 May 2019 sees the 10th anniversary of the England Hockey Awards, where hockey lovers from across the country will gather to celebrate the achievements of clubs, volunteers, officials, coaches & players over the past year.  To nominate click here

Flyerz Hockey

A free training course has been arranged at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on 24th March 12:00 – 15:00.   Delegates will develop the skills & confidence to set up & deliver disability inclusive hockey sessions!  This is ideal for both existing and future coaches / helpers involved in Flyerz Hockey.  To book your place click here

 

Sad News

Eric West was a Loughton School Alumni and was supporter, goalkeeper, referee, vice-president and lifelong member of Old Loughtonian’s Hockey Club.  Eric passed away peacefully on the 22nd January 2019 at 92 years of age. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at the Old Lought’s Club on the 5th March 2019 at 2pm, followed by refreshments.  Further information from westsuzannah@gmail.com

 

And more sad news

Noel Brady passed away peacefully aged 97 on the 14th February 2019.  Noel was the younger brother of Donald Brady and played for the club during the 1940s & 50s. The photograph (available in HH album) is of the three Brady brothers at the clubhouse bar, Donald left, Noel centre & Desmond right. The funeral arrangements can be found here
