Minis Coaches and Young Leaders Meeting/Pre Season session this Saturday 31st August 9.30-11.00 anyone wishing to help welcome. Mangers and any parents wishing to help out with any of the administration this season should join us from 10.30 onwards.
First minis session Saturday 7th September 9.30-11.00.
Minis Match report
The U12 boys and girls were in action as a mixed team event at Lea Valley on Saturday 17th August competing in the National Hockey Academy Finals. Playing against teams from out of the region and two NHA rep teams the players were not sure what to expect. They started well with a win against Coalville and finding their confidence and gelling as a team they went through to top the pool unbeaten.
The semi-final was against Leamington who they had comfortably beaten 5-1 in the pool but Leamington came out a different team and we were having to chase the game coming from behind twice to level the match at 2-2. We went to penalty shuffles and although we missed the first, we slotted home the next two and with Alex making two great saves we eased through to the final 2-0.
Learning from their mistakes and sloppiness in the semi the team upped their game, playing some great team hockey and cruised through 5-1 to take the honours. A great day out and well played.

First Aid Training
