Well done to Zak Bowyer, James Beardwell, Fergus Strelley-Jones and Max Garner who were all part of the ball patrol team at Lee Valley for the Women’s Hockey World Cup.

 

EH Big Clubs survey

England Hockey is re-running a survey aimed specifically at Big Clubs.  Apparently only 13 members of the club have so far seen it and completed it! Please complete the survey by using this link

England Hockey will compile the results for us.  It would be a great help to all of the volunteers at the club to get your feedback on what we are doing well and where we could do even better.

  

EH Big Clubs Conference

Last Saturday Julie Warwick-Munday and Peter Kempe represented the club at the England Hockey Big Clubs Conference at Lee Valley.  The conference is an opportunity for clubs with over 500 members to meet to hear updates from England Hockey on initiatives, to ask questions and to discuss matters of common interest.  If anyone would like any more information on what was discussed please contact Julie or Peter.

 

U14 and U16 Girls – training begins 18:30 on Wednesday 8th August.

Player Accomodation

The club is about to sort out accommodation for visiting overseas or recruited players who are new to the area for the coming season on the men’s and women’s side. This could be room in shared flat, an extension flat or whole flat/house either furnished or unfurnished and in any condition.  If anyone has empty accommodation of any kind and is looking for some remuneration from tenants through the club for all or part of the coming season September to March/ April

Ian Roberts

Ian’s funeral will take place on Friday 7th September at Chelmsford Crematorium, Writtle Road, Chelmsford CM1 3BL
