Weekend Round-Up
Old Southendian 3s v OLHC Academy 2s
A friendly and competitive game against opposition that will start the new season a league above us saw a fresh Academy squad come through with a convincing 10-3 win. Good teamwork, ball speed and movement particularly up front saw some excellent finishing which hopefully bodes well for the upcoming season. Goalscorers - Rob Falconer (5), Toby Gayler (3) and Nathan Gladman (2).
Chelmsford Supervets v OLHC Supervets
A very good 3-0 win for the SV’s in the first league game of the season against the old enemy Chelmsford away at Chelmer Park. Playing intelligent passing hockey and keeping a good shape we controlled most of the game and limited Chelmsford’s best chances to a couple of shorts in the second half. Gerald Padfield scored the first after a good passing move put on a plate by Kevin Appleyard. The second from a short corner put in by Ahmed and the third by Ahmed came from a breakaway set up by Nigel Cresswell
It was the first game so no reason to get carried away but a very pleasing start. Next game on the 29th September
Wanderers Australia
The Wanderers Australia squad are touring the UK in January 2019. Old Loughtonians HC have been asked to play matches and host the players overnight with members families departing early next morning before school.
The group travelling will be made up of 3 x teams - U-15 girls - U-17 girls and U-17 Boys.
If you think you could accommodate one or more of the players on Monday 7th or Tuesday 8th January 2019 please contact the office.
Flyers Hockey Workshop at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre 7pm Thursday 20th September

Hockey Camp
Just a reminder that the club will be running a hockey camp during the half term break on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th October 10am to 3pm. Places are limited so if you would like to register your interest please email camps@oldloughtonians.co.uk
