Intra Club Summer League

The first round of the Intra Club Summer League starts tonight!  First games start at 19:30 so make sure you have arrived with both your white and black playing shirt in good time.  Remember to let Simon Beckley have the result of your match so it can be recorded on Fixtures Live.  Unfortunately the bar will not be open this week but normal service will be resumed on 25th.

Tom Wilson Memorial Day

Players will be gathering on Saturday 22nd to play a few games and have a few drinks but most importantly to remember Tom Wilson and the importance of organ donation.  If you would like to offer your support activities start at 14:00

Free Health Seminar 26th June

Two premier orthopedic surgeons from the NHS Royal London and Homerton Hospitals will host an evening of health talks and interactive Q&A session thrown open to the audience at the Hallmark Prince Regent Hotel, Chigwell on Wednesday 26th June.  The evening will include:

  • Common injuries to upper and lower limbs – from sports or lifestyle perspectives.
  • Focus on the prevention, management, accurate diagnosis, and holistic personalised treatment options beyond the limits of physiotherapy / primary care.
  • Tasty hot & cold refreshments provided.

Mixed Hockey

Due to popular demand Simon Beckley and Bob Narwal have agreed to run a mixed hockey session on Sunday 30th June.  The session will start at 11:00 and finish at 13:00.  If you are interested in getting involved please let Simon know by dropping him an email: simonbeckley@simat.co.uk

 

Hockey Museum

The Hockey Museum in Woking is an independent charitable group set up to preserve, share and celebrate the rich heritage and history of Hockey in England and Wales.  They are exploring how the history of hockey and the heritage of Hockey can be made more widely available and better known.   A survey through England Hockey as a supporter of this project and the museum is available for you (click survey) to share your thoughts on the project.

Could you sponsor or support Old Loughtonians Hockey Club?

It is important that the club continues to attract additional support and sponsorship. We welcome all levels of support (including another major sponsor alongside the Higgins Group) and potential bespoke packages are available to interested parties. Support and sponsorship can range from pitchside boards (on either of our pitches) to individual team deals. We welcome local sponsors in particular as well as national and international sponsors especially those with an interest in hockey.

Members introducing sponsors to the club (or sponsoring players or the club themselves) will benefit from free annual membership themselves. Please contact our chairman (chairperson@oldloughtonians.co.uk) or the club office (olhc@oldloughtonians.co.uk) for more information or with any proposal.
