AGM – Wednesday 4th July
The Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 4th July in the clubhouse starting at 7.30pm. This is your opportunity to hear the reports and proposals of the Management Committee as well as have your say and elect captains and mangers for next year. If you are not able to attend please send your apologies to the Honorary Secretary along with your completed proxy voting form.
Tom Wilson Memorial Day
A message from Lisa Wilson
“Please pass on my thanks to the Club for allowing us to use the facilities and hosting Tom's Tournament on Saturday. It was a beautiful event and lovely to see so many young people playing hockey and having fun in memory of Tom. The raffle raised a staggering £930 and the fund now tops £30K.”
Next year the tournament will be held on Saturday 22nd June – a date for your diary.
Congratulations…
This weekend in Nottingham the England under 18 girls took on their Scottish counterparts in preparation for the forthcoming FIH under 18 European championships in Santander in Spain in July. Each squad member is fighting to be named in the final squad. Our very own Zara Rose was in goal for the first game which was a convincing and very dominating 8-0 win by England. It was nice to see the goals being scored by 8 different members of the team. On the Sunday the team took the opportunity to experiment but still came out 3-0 winners.
Next weekend the girls take on Germany at Bisham Abbey on Friday (17:45) Saturday (16:45) and Sunday (10:15). If anyone would like to go and watch the match times are in brackets
Also well done to Jacob Jayaraj, Stuart Cuff and Toby Gayler who were selected for U15 Boys England Hockey Performance Centre this year:
OLHC World Cup Hockey Camps
