Ladies 5 v Crostyx 4 1 - 4
Snippet
Ladies 1 v Blueharts
Starting strong, Loughts put pressure on the Blueharts defence and the forwards worked well together to deny the opposition of easily playing the ball out from the back. Play was end-to-end but with great communication at the back from keeper Hannah, the Loughts defence broke down their attacking play to keep the score at 0-0.
A quick restart from the back found Laura Oglesby with the ball, who then gave a strong pass forward that was picked up by a well-timed lead from Ella Buenaventura who calmly slotted the ball past the Blueharts keeper to give Loughts Ladies’ 1’s a 1-0 advantage after 25 minutes of play.
Academy v Colchester
Any game some 60 miles away is always a challenge, especially for a young team like the A2’s. However with Colchester languishing in the bottom half of the league, all were hopeful of a strong relaxed victory. How wrong can one be!!
Moment of the Match was Kevin F hooking a drag flick off his nose to square leg!! Special mention also goes to Toby Gayler for his mazy run past 8 tackles only to see his shot rebound 30 yards off the post.

Boys U16 v Surbiton B 6 – 1
Snippet
Men’s 1 v Brighton & Hove
The first half was cagey, both sides having limited chances – the only key moments being keeper Fred Whitfield saving with his head and the loss of captain, leader, legend Kempe from the midfield after a gentleman’s 15 minutes.
Brighton however showed their class, punishing Loughts from a short corner to equalise. However it was Loughts who then struck back, a well worked corner seeing Maciej deflect home.
