Something for the weekend
The U10 and U12 boys and girls will be travelling to Harleston Hockey Club to compete in the In2Hockey Regional finals this weekend. Success at this level will lead to the National Finals to be held in Nottingham in May.
As well as the players several junior members have been selected to umpire and will be working with the East Region Young Umpire Action Group to ensure fair play for all.
The Club is hosting the Mercian League Finals on Sunday where our U16 and U18 boys will be competing for the medals. The U18s first game is against Reading at 11:15 and the action starts for U16s at 13:45 against Surbiton. All fixtures are available here. This is a great opportunity to see some good hockey played by the junior members of the club.
Several of the U14s will be attending the regional Performance Centre’s on Saturday where they will be training hard to secure a place for next season.
With the juniors having achieved so much it has left our mini section stretched for helpers this Saturday. If you are able to come to the club between 9:00 and 11:00 to help support the coaches it would be very much appreciated.
Social Hockey
Social Hockey is back and will run alongside Back to Hockey at 7:45pm on Tuesday evenings starting on 1st May. The session is open to all abilities, ages and sexes. Players are divided equally to form teams to enable a good run around that is enjoyable and fun. After the game it’s into the bar to talk through who scored the most goals over a pint or two! Look forward to seeing you there.
