Men's 2s win again

After a journey fraught with traffic and burning cars, Loughts knew they had to get off to a good start against a Teddington side yet to concede so far this season.
Both teams fought hard from the off with tackles coming in from all angles. Loughts’ strong passing and quick hands soon proved too much for a resolute Teddington side and after Rose’s drag flick hit the post Ansh Sood was on hand to slot the rebound into the roof of the net.
After the goal the game turned into a scrappy affair but Loughts dug in and began to reassert their authority after the half time break. With the forwards consistently causing trouble and beating tackles a goal was due.
A swift counter attack opened up the Teddington defence and Geoff Purnell was on hand to dive at least 20 yards to deflect the ball over the keeper into the goal. Teddington scored a drag flick towards the end of the game but Loughts kept fighting to secure a well-earned victory.
Congratulations to our debutants Max Sydenham and Ansh Sood for strong performances.
