Mixed 8s reach semi-final at Lee Valley

Out of a field of 24 teams, some from such exotic places as Berlin, Ireland and Blackpool, the Loughts mixed 8 were very pleased, and not a little surprised, to reach the semi-final of this good natured and colourful (especially the pink tutus) tournament at the weekend.
Well hosted by East London, and blessed by splendid weather, this fun tournament saw some great hockey played, and a few beers consumed. It was good to see the East London founding hockey players reunited and playing as the 'Untouchable Originals'.
